The Platform Team Brings Diverse, Complementary Operating Experience & Deep Functional Expertise.

  • Chris Barkley founded Platform, where he serves as Managing Partner, in 2012. Prior to Platform, Chris founded and served as President of BoxTop Media LLC (dba FreshSpace Media), a marketing firm providing advertising and promotional services to many of the largest consumer brands in the U.S.

    Chris has broad experience building and profitably exiting companies in the media and technology space. Prior to founding FreshSpace Media, he was an early employee at internet startup CitySearch where he participated in multiple acquisitions prior to an exit and he co-founded Avid Networks.

    After these exits, Chris was invited by Warburg Pincus to serve as an Entrepreneur in Residence, where he helped evaluate deals in the alternative media space.

    Chris was one of the first investors in Peloton, a breakthrough tech-enabled fitness product. At Platform, he guides investment and operating strategy and serves on the Boards of multiple portfolio companies - Tag Sensors, Prospect Farms, Rambler Sparkling Water, and Cuvee Beauty.

  • Geoff Jackson co-founded Platform with Chris and joined full-time in 2019. He focuses on brand positioning, strategic planning, financial and operations modeling, and organizational dynamics.

    Before Platform, Geoff joined Chris at FreshSpace Media, where they repositioned the business and expanded product/service offerings before an exit to a strategic buyer. Before joining Chris in New York, he served in various leadership roles at The Campbell Soup Company across brand management, front-end innovation and commercialization, integrated marketing services, and modeling/analytics.

    At Platform, Geoff serves on the board of directors or advisors for The Living Company, Rambler Sparkling Water, Prospect Farms, and Cuvée Beauty. He holds both a B.S. in Economics and an MBA from The Wharton School of Business at The University of Pennsylvania.

  • Wyatt Harris joined Platform in 2014. His primary focus is on sourcing and managing investments in the Consumer and Business Service sectors.  He started his career as one of the first employees at the sports cable network CSTV, where he held various functional roles until its acquisition by Viacom/CBS Corporation for $325M.  Wyatt then joined CBS Corporation until transitioning to graduate school.

    Following graduate school, Wyatt worked in management roles for Platform-owned operating businesses.  Since then, he has been closely involved in several investments, spending most of his time supporting management teams in the areas of operations, sales, and corporate strategy.   

    Wyatt has a B.A. in Government from Georgetown University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.  Wyatt serves on various boards and leadership committees, including his alma mater Georgetown University.
